因為中國香港不能正常使用正版 ChatGPT, 我用過可連上ChatGPT的POE，也用過在中國香港能用的 Perplexity. 今早打開電郵，兩間公司都來信報喜，說把 DeepSeek 加了入自家的服務。
我感到納悶，DeepSeek 是公開給全世界用的，不像 ChatGPT 和 Claude 等不准中國香港用，有免費的官網不用，怎會有人用要付費兼有用量限制的 POE 和 Perplexity 呢? 仔細看看電郵，我就明白其中的原因了。
POE說除了加入 DeepSeek-R1 外，數據中心也在美國:

我就馬上試試，問一個” 歷史上的今天” 之類的問題。Perplexity給的答案正常，但它是researching with perplexity, 然後reasoning with DeepSeek-R1，即是說，它是海納百川，給出答案，不知道 DeepSeek 作了哪些貢獻。
至於POE，只能說，我有點擔心，因為它用的DeepSeek-R1不用思考，馬上回答。它不像DeepSeek官方版謙稱自己沒有這方面的訓練，叫我換個話題聊聊，它給的答案只是放諸四海皆准的偉大的光榮的正確的萬能答案。我轉用它的DeepSeek-R1-Distill問，它陷入深度思考，結果死機。我其實早已沒有用POE了，也許大概可能我的決定沒有錯。… 但根據兩年前的一篇網上文章，POE全球有一半用戶在香港，原因及可以想見的結果值得玩味。
POE用戶全球分佈，可以自由地使用ChatGPT，下載POE大概只是好奇貪新鮮，這解釋了那些下載量佔1%的國家地區，中國香港佔全球下載量一半，原因大概不用說了。中國香港是中國神聖不可分割的一部分，加關稅、禁寄包裏、出口限制、服務不支援等要與國家分憂，理固宜然。
